Real Plant Ingredients - Real Farmers

What distinguishes Indochine Natural body care products from the big commercial brands is that we make our products using WHOLE VEGETABLE OILS and not plant-extracts via complex chemical extraction processes using petrochemicals.

What this means then is that every time you use an Indochine Natural body care product made from whole vegetable oils you are supporting many farming communities around the world. For example, when using our Spice Island Body Wash the following whole vegetable oils are used in the production and you are supporting farmers in these countries:

          Clove - Indonesia
          Patchouli - Indonesia
          Orange Sweet - Australia
          May Chang - China
          Cinnamon - Tanzania
          Star Anise - Spain
         Soybean Oil - Malaysia
         Coconut Oil - Malaysia
         Palm Oil - Malaysia

Purchase body care products made using whole vegetable oils….this is good for your health as these products are free of contaminants and synthetic ingredients, and supports farming communities.

Indochine Natural all-natural body care products are available from all JustLife stores,  or online.

Choosing the Right Ingredients for your Baby’s Skin Care Products

If you are concerned about the products you use on your baby’s skin and confused about popular terms such as “natural” or “organic” on baby skin care product labels, you are not alone. Even professions are not clear, and the reasons for this include:

·      Not all labeling terms are regulated.
·      Regulations can be contradictory.
·      Many companies use misleading words like “natural” on their packaging as a way of boosting sales.

When Indochine Natural’s cofounder and Managing Director Dr. Mike Thair formulated our Honey soap using New Zealand organic honey he took the “keep-it-simple” approach and formulated a moisturizing safe bar soap using only coconut and palm oils with added organic honey. This is a simple and safe soap for all skin types, and perfect as a safe and mild baby soap.

If you would like to learn more about choosing safe body care products, Dr. Mike has written a series of short and easy to understand consumer guides that are available for download free-of-charge from our website.

Since launching our honey soap it has become a favorite with many mums as a baby soap and also a top-to-toe. But be careful, natural chemical free soap can sting the eyes. Another favorite with mums is our No Fragrance soap.

Our products are available from all JustLife stores  in Malaysia, or locally and internationally from our online store.

AGAIN, THE CERTIFIED ORGANIC DILEMMA

At Indochine Natural we are sometimes bemused when searching for and evaluating new ingredients for new products that we are developing. Here is a set of ingredients for LIQUORICE ROOT EXTRACT - CERTIFIED ORGANIC by Australian Certified Organic (ACO) who are Australia's largest certifier for organic and biodynamic produce.

  • Ingredients: Certified Organic Glycerine, Aqua, Certified Organic Glycyrrhiza glabra, Parfum (Naticide ®*), Potassium sorbate.

The Nationwide and Potassium sorbate are described as "natural" preservatives, and obviously are not organic. Commercially, most sorbic acid is produced by reacting crotonaldehyde with ketene in the presence of a catalyst. Mmmm, doesn't sound too "natural" to me.

Now Naticide is another interesting case. I have contacted the manufacturer, and the response was that the contents of Naticide are ‘confidential.' So who knows? How are we able  to determine that Naticide is "natural."

For consumers then, manufacturers may only declare on their ingredient labels "organic Liquorice Root Extract" and nobody is the wiser!!

Regards from a befuddled Dr. Mike......I am obviously having issues with language here....doesn't natural mean natural and organic mean organic?
