Productivity Tips

Our Australian Co-Founder & Chief Formulator, Dr. Mike Thair, gives personal insights into how he maintains high levels of productivity.

“OK, I admit it, I’m a workaholic.  Being the co-owner of a cosmetics company plus managing my international consulting assignments is demanding.  It requires long hours, international travel, and strict deadlines. Keeping my health and energy levels at peak levels is important.
Productive days aren’t just a win for your own health and happiness: it’s a must for success. It important to stay inspired. Read my tips to make your days more productive and enjoyable.

Start the day right
Start the day early. For me, this means around 5:00 AM. There are no distractions. My priorities are to catch up on important correspondence and reading. Check all the news.
Exercise is important. I recommend a 3 to 5-minute workout for those who are time-poor and inactive, yet still, have a wish to improve their fitness and keep a healthy body weight.
First minute: 15 seconds of squats, 15 seconds push-ups, 15 seconds leg raise holds, 15 seconds high knees
Second minute: 30 seconds squats, 30 seconds push-ups
Third minute: 30 seconds leg raise holds, 30 seconds high knees

The right frame of mind
Morning bathing rituals are an important part of starting my day in the right frame of mind.  I use Indochine Natural products.

The important thing to remember here is that we only use high-quality essential oil in our products. These oils can have positive effects on your mood and general outlook.

To-Do Lists
We all like to multi-task. Yet if we are not careful, valuable hours can be eaten up by flipping between lots different jobs. You may not have achieved very much at the end of the day.
My approach is the daily to-do list. Focus on one task, ignore everything else. Attack one thing at a time, and by doing it well, can make your to-do list shrink faster. You will achieve a lot more by the end of the day.
In your to-do list, an important productivity tip is to tackle your most daunting task first. Get it out of the way first thing in the morning rather than procrastinating. When done, it gives an instant sense of achievement while freeing you up to focus on better things for the rest of the day.

Light up your day
We need good light to operate at our peak. Light up your workspace with a proper lighting, or open blinds and curtains for some natural light. Not only will natural light brighten your mood, it can improve your alertness. If you can, work by a window. During the day, take breaks, go for a short stroll and get a ten-minute blast of daylight. This can work wonders for your productivity.

Keep it fresh
As the afternoon drags on, I find refreshing spritz of facial mist  does wonders.
Essential oils  can help increase productivity.  A room diffuser charged with your favorite essential or a blend can help.

Wind down before bed
I finish the day as I started.  Evening bathing rituals are an important part of winding down and ensuring good quality sleep. I use Indochine Natural products
