Skin Care While You Sleep

Our Australian Co-Founder & Chief Formulator, Dr. Mike Thair, gives some insider tips on skin care while you sleep.

“OK, these days many of us are time-poor and sleep-deprived (and that includes me). We need to be aiming at looking good and well rested, even if we don’t feel it. One secret I can share with you is maximizing skin care while sleeping.

You are probably well equipped in caring for your skin during the day against environmental stress.  At night you skin is in repair mode regenerating new cells and restoring damage. Sleep allows for detoxification and nervous system recuperation. This is not a time to be bombarding your skin with synthetic chemical-based skin care products. My advice is to keep your approach simple. What your skin requires overnight is good vitamins, antioxidants and nourishment.

Our Essence Des Plantes Organic Face Oil is the perfect answer in maximizing skin care while sleeping. Use in the evening after showering when skin is still damp.  Only a very small amount (usually less than 1 pump) is required. Pump the oil into your palm, rub hands together and gently pat your face, neck, and décolletage, spreading a thin even layer. Leave for a few minutes to let the oil sink into the skin.”
