A LOOK BEHIND THE INDOCHINE NATURAL PRODUCT FORMULATIONS

Indochine Natural’s co-founder Dr. Mike Thair is responsible for developing and bringing to market all of our products. He has also developed 100s of products for other labels/brands.

Just what is behind all of these formulations that he works so diligently on….some that may take months or years to develop?

Firstly are the FORMULATIONS themselves using basic ingredients; water, all natural surfactants, various vegetable oils, natural fragrances, and botanicals such as coffee, lemongrass powder, honey, turmeric etc etc. This is exacting and time consuming work mixing science and art.

Then comes the PRODUCT TESTING in a number of different ways to test safety and demonstrate the benefits of a particular formulation. Consumer testing can involve tens to hundreds of people reporting back on how a product has made them feel, or changed the appearance and feel of skin or hair. Dr. Mike will often send samples to different countries for feedback, and also to trial how a product works in different environments. Laboratory testing of products is also carried out.

With every new product, checks must be made that new products are compliant with COSMETICS REGULATIONS, and then they are Notified with the relevant cosmetics authorities in each country that they will be sold.

This is a complex and demanding process matching formulations, testing, regulatory compliance, and most importantly providing consumers with products that look, feel and smell appealing, and which they enjoy using.
