Fair Trade commitment and practice

Indochine Natural's commitment to provide work opportunities to disadvantage members of our local community is central to our business philosophy.

Recently we were looking for a cleaning service provider for our office and production facility. Coincidentally, a friend invited me to join her in manning a weekend charity food table at the Eden Handicap Centre annual food fair.  I was immediately interested when reading online and learning more about Eden, and this is how I found out that they provide cleaning services.

After a few phone calls and meeting up with their Cleaning Service Division Manager, we decided to employ one of their members.

In line with the conversations about the members of Eden Handicap Centre, Indochine Natural would want to make sure that all the members are been trained properly on their job, received fair payment,  are registered for insurance and retirement fund.  Of course when working in Indochine office, we provide a good working environment.

May I introduce you to Lina, our new contracted staff.  Lina comes to help us clean the office once per week.  She is in her 40's and lives in one of the shelters provided by the Eden Handicap Centre.  As a cleaner, Lina is doing her job very well. We do have a bit of difficulty in verbal communication, but we are OK with that.

Overall, we are both happy with each other.  Come and say Hi to Lina if you are near by our office on every Wednesday of the week.
